John and Jasmine's wedding day could not have gone ANY better. Seriously. It was raining on the drive down, but as soon as we pulled into the parking lot of The Barker House in Scituate MA for the wedding the skies cleared and the sun came. I don't know know who is watching down on these two, but they've got someone up there who was pulling strings for them.
As soon as we walked into the bridal suite our jaws hit the floor. Jasmine was the most beautiful bride - I've truly never seen a wedding dress like hers. The intricacy of the details and the way Jasmine glowed in it was truly stunning. There were definitely some tears shed, especially during the first look with her dad. It was one of my favorite moments.
Seeing John and Jasmine's silly side shine through during the ceremony and portraits was like a breath of fresh air. One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is capturing people as their authentic selves. These two seem like they were made for each other.
Jasmine and John's wedding was a perfect mix of fun and love. Every detail was SO beautiful (and yes, Jasmine did all the decor herself - even crocheting her own bouquet!!) The talent is unreal. I loved that she sprinkled in traditions of her heritage with the gown, saris on her bridesmaids and the gorgeous henna details on their hands. It was a gorgeous wedding day for two amazing people.
To John and Jasmine, thank you for having me there to capture your day. I'm so glad the universe brought us together so I could witness your love.
