Surprise Proposal in Downtown Portsmouth NH, February 2025

Surprise proposals are so high stakes but so absolutely special, I LOVE doing them. I was so excited when Ben reached out to make plans to have me capture his proposal to Kelsie.

Ben and Kelsie love traveling to and staying in Portsmouth, so what better place to pop the question? Ben had the plans to meet down by the water and then head inside to celebrate with their families (all as a surprise to Kelsie!)

I set up and waited by the spot, and when I saw them approach, tried my best to be incognito 😂 As Ben got down on one knee and proposed, I could tell Kelsie was SO shocked. I loved sneaking up and capturing her face and the tears.

Afterwards, we took some awesome nighttime portraits on the sweet cobblestone streets in Downtown Portsmouth. It was the best way to celebrate her saying "yes!" When we went inside and they were greeted by smiles and cheers it was the icing on the cake.

I'm so excited for Ben and Kelsie's 2026 wedding in Portsmouth!
