Andrea and Rob are some of the most laid back, kind people I have had the pleasure of meeting in this job. Andrea reached out with some tentative plans to elope in a spot that was so special to Andrea's family. Of course, I immediately said yes.
We chatted as details came in, and I couldn't help but be so grateful that they had chosen me to document their day. They got ready with their closest friends, then had a very sweet first look before hopping in the car to head to the beach.
We did, however, have to make one very important stop before getting to the beach. Rob's Latvian culture has a wedding day tradition of carrying the bride over a bridge. So that is exactly what we did. Rob carried Andrea over a bridge while others drove by beeping to congratulate them. It was such an awesome moment.
At the beach, Rob and Andrea said "I do" in front of Andrea's family and a few of their friends, with Rob's mom tuning in on Facetime to see the special moment. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with lots of smiles and giggles. We photographed her family, their friends and of course, the two of them as the rain made its way over the beach. And we wrapped up just in time as the clouds opened up.
Overall, a perfect day.
To Andrea and Rob, thank you a million times! I am so lucky that you trusted me to photograph your day, and I can't thank you enough.
Until next time, live creatively friends.
