I feel like we have been waiting for this day for SO long. I met Ana and Ben in 2019 through Ben's cousin and my former client's Stephanie and Dan (thanks so much for the referral guys!) I love getting referrals from my clients because I already know they're going to be awesome humans, and this just proved that. I first met Ana and Ben during their engagement session, and they were so laid back and fun to be around. They were down to try every pose and went along with every crazy idea I had. The entire process with them was so easy. Including the wedding process.
Even in 2020, when things didn't go exactly as planned and Ana and Ben had to reschedule their wedding day - it was so easy. They didn't seem to put up a fuss about anything. They're really the kind of clients you dream about 😂.
Fast forward to 2021 and the day we had been waiting for was FINALLY here!! Though the weather wasn't exactly cooperating, they definitely weren't going to let that rain on their parade. Pun intended. I spoke with Kristen, Ana's coordinator, leading up to the day about the change in plans to move the reception inside. I felt so bad for Ana and Ben who had already pivoted their plans so much due to the pandemic, but when I got to Ana's house that morning she still had the biggest smile on her face. Nothing was going to ruin her day, not even a little rain.
The ceremony under the pavilion was short and sweet - as Ana and Ben officially did say "I do" on their original date last year. Their golden retriever, Addison, joined them for their vows and seemed completely uninterested as she ate her treats at the front 😂. My favorite part of the ceremony was the confetti exit - it was so cute and Ana's face just lit up with excitement!
The rain did hold off for quite some time, even only drizzling for some of the photos, so we really can't complain TOO much. We took lots of photos with their family and friends, and of course their adorable puppy Addison. We broke out the umbrellas and had some fun as well. But these two were itching to get to their reception and have some fun.
The reception was a BLAST! These two and their friends and family know how to have a good time. From dancing and show games, to crowd surfing aliens, they really had it all. The dance floor was packed the entire night, one of our favorite things to see. I think it was safe to say everyone had a blast at the wedding.
So Ana and Ben, thank you for rolling with the changes, not letting the weather get you down, and being the type of clients we LOVE to work with. Your smiles and genuine love makes us our job so easy. Thank you for having Kristin and I capture your beautiful wedding day. We hope you love these photos so much.
We cannot thank you enough.
