Michelle and Ryan were a blast to work with from the very beginning. We met the couple a few months before their wedding. We loved getting to know them and their story, and talking about the details of their big day. Meeting the couple before the day of wedding is something we look forward to. Knowing this personalities and expectations beforehand helps us to better prepare for their big day.
Michelle and Ryan were young and fun, so we knew we were going to enjoy ourselves. We met the bride in her suite at the hotel for some photos of her and her bridesmaids (and bridesman) getting ready. The group was so fun to hangout with. They tried every pose we suggested and helped us move furniture all over the place to get the perfect shot. Our favorite part of the bridal suite was the large, stand up mirror. It was a great prop and played a large role in some of our favorite photos of the day.
A short, quick and charming ceremony was held in the atrium of the hotel. The bride and groom kept it short and sweet because of the unusual heat in September, and well, they wanted to get to the party!
Family photos followed the ceremony during cocktail hour, and with all things considered, they went REALLY well! Both the bride and groom had really large families and requested many photos with each member. We kept things as organized as we possibly could, and stuck to the plan, and were able to captured some really awesome shots.
The reception was by far, one of my favorites. It began with some dances and games and made way for the party. The dance floor was full ALL night, and the DJ was playing music from every era. The guests were eating it up. We had a blast just dancing around and snapping pictures of the guests.

We wrapped up the night with some last minute family photos and said our goodbyes. Michelle and Ryan continued the party with their guests and begged us to stay. It is flattering to be invited to stay with the bride and groom to celebrate. It means they were comfortable and we made a real connection with them. Although we never do stay, it always puts a smile on my face to be asked. A huge thank you to Michelle and Ryan for making us feel comfortable, and allowing us to be a part of their big day.
Until next wedding!
Live creatively, friends.
