CAPTURED - THE GREAT BIG LAUNCH

Hi all! I'm Rebecca. Most people call me Becca - I beg you not to call me Becky though, no matter how many times my boyfriend tries to convince you to.

Let's start with the basics: I am an adventure-loving, outdoors-obsessed, puppy-infatuated gal running around New England (and beyond!) with a camera in one hand and a smile on my face. I love ice cream and pizza, hiking and camping, and catching ALL of the sunrises/sunsets.

I have a bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State University in Art, concentrating in Graphic Design and Photography and I work full time as a Marketing Coordinator for RE/MAX Leading Edge.

I'm just stumbling through life, meeting new people, falling in love with the places I get to see. And always preparing for my next adventure. I'm a firm believer in doing whatever makes you happy.

I never really thought of myself as the "blogger" type. For one thing, I am not the greatest writer (so please bare with me) and another, well I wasn't really sure if people cared what I was up to. The more I thought about it though, the more it seemed to appeal to me. SO HERE GOES NOTHING!

I am 25 years old, living on the North Shore of Massachusetts, and I have just officially launched my own small company. Now, this may not be my most humble statement, but COME ON that is pretty impressive. I am a real life business owner, ready to take on the world!

I began doing freelance work a few years ago in college. And I was making pretty decent money. My passion for the arts grew stronger over time, and I knew that starting a business was EXACTLY what I needed to do.

This blog is an addition to my business - developed to keep my clients informed on my latest projects, and also to keep other freelance artists in the loop on the struggles and obstacles of being a 1. artist, 2. young business owner and hopefully not going crazy in the process. We'll see how that goes!

It has been a busy few months planning, preparing, designing and more for this launch. I cannot actually believe it's time. My hope is to re-energize my previous work and break out of the typical small freelance project I was previous working in.

CAPTURED is so much more than that. It is meant to evoke adventure, simplicity and all things arts. I wanted to share my bright and airy ideas, designs, photographs and beyond with others. After all, it's not just photography that can "capture" the essence of an idea. Why limit yourself to any one kind of art, when you can transform into a better artist with each project?

PLEASE stay tuned for what's to come - craft fairs, deals and sales, celebrations, adventures and of course the occasional obstacle. I'm here to report on it all. For friends, clients, business owners and freelancers - I hope you can learn from my experiences and maybe even build your own successful businesses.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for following and sharing my adventures and my journey.
